Roger B Domian has been a veteran of filmmaking in Chicago since 1974 when he received an 8mm camera for Christmas. Beginning with stop motion animation and then moving on to making live action movies on Super 8mm, he slowly trained himself to be a decent storyteller of celluloid. After High School he decided to attend Columbia College in 1979 where he studied filmmaking, theater, makeup and writing. After completing the short cult film 'INVASION OF THE PEOPLE CANNERS' he decided he had enough, left college and began acting in community theater throughout the eighties. Appearing on stage in countless musicals and dramas he decided to take a stab at writing and directing his own theatrical show, 'THE THINGS THAT WENT BUMP IN THE DARK', and in the years following just kept writing, both stage shows and then screenplay's.
Tadeo Garcia became hooked into the fascination of how film worked ever since he'd seen the movie 'Poltergeist'. He was amazed at the way the viewer's emotion and feelings can be changed throughout the use of editing, even if it was on the same film but just cut differently. He found the aspect of letting others see the world through his own eyes a great opportunity to share his views and look at life.
While attending Chicago's Columbia College in 1999, he began work in animation creating various short cartoon subjects. In the first few semesters he filmed the live action films 'CAN TALKING UTERUS' REALLY BARK' and the haunting film 'IMAGE'. While supporting himself as a waiter at a Pepe's restaurant, he met up with veteran filmmaker Roger B Domian. Throughout various conversations the two of them realized they had the same 'twisted' look and imagination for film and decided to team up on future projects. Their first collaboration together was an idea Garcia had for an animated short film about a group of young children finding a dead clown. Roger convinced him to shoot the film in live action, which would save a lot of time, and during the fall of 2000 the film 'GREASEPAINT' was completed. The very next weekend they completed their second collaboration, the award winning short film entitled 'BROKEN WARNING'. Soon after, the two of them established their own independent film company called Iconoclast Films. Most recently Tadeo and Roger collaborated together and completed their first feature film 'ON THE DOWNLOW'.
Between both of their writing and film skills, Iconoclast Films will be delivering some truly unique projects to keep an eye out for in the future.
